Carrara Gold Coast

Carrara is west of the Ocean. It is in land and we are staying at a hotel on a golf course. We arrived on Saturdays and went to the Carrara Market. You can find just about anything there. It is a weekend market with about 500 stalls. We walked about 20 mins from the Hotel and then spent about three hours walking around. It was fun and great exercise. We are trying to get in shape for the touring on the World Cruise. Monday morning 5/2 Ros picked us up and took us on a tour of Brisbane. We toured the city and then went up to a mountain lookout that viewed Brisbane. You could see the River snaking around the city and the high-rise building downtown. Then we were off to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. This is the only place that you can still cuddle a Koala in Australia. Take a look at the photo of Randy holding the Koala. It was great, Randy held him and I got to touch the Koala. We were also able to touch a kangaroo. We also feed Lorikeets, saw a wombat, dingo's, Platypus (though it was trying to hide), freshwater Crocodiles and If I got this right we saw a gray fox bats. Very interesting and a great day! Thanks, Roz it was so much fun!
