We arrived in Cairns (pronounced Canns) in the Sunshine Coast. We made our way to Marlin Cove Resort in Trinity Beach about 8 K north of Cairns. We ended up with a two bedroom apartment two blocks from the Beach. It is very nice. It has a swimming pool with a sandy beach. Today we took a walk to Trinity Beach and found it amazing that it was so quiet no high-rises and no big hotels. The Esplanade had cafes and small hotels and some private homes. The Beach signs warned about stingers (jellyfish) and croc's in the Ocean. The swimming area was a big netted area to keep you safe from predators. We are looking forward to going into Cairns to take the train to Kuranda and spending time at the night markets in Cairns. We are close to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. We will be visiting them next week.
