Anzac Cove, Turkey

Day 40 - Anzac Cove, Turkey - Scenic Cruise

From the Navigator - Throughout the early hours of the morning, Dawn Princess will proceed down through the Dardanelles and out once again into the Aegean Sea. Once clear of the Traffic Separation Scheme we will alter course to the north-east and head towards Anzac Cove. We will arrive off Anzac Cove just before sunrise and then throughout the morning will maintain various courses and positions as we conduct the scenic cruise and appropriate ceremonies.

Today we cruised Anzac Cove. Anzac Cove is a War Memorial for Australia and New Zealand War Dead from World War I from the Battle of Gallipoli. Anzac (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Cove is a revered place in Australia, New Zealand and Turkey. The service today as very moving and included a laying of the wreath ceremony.
